The creation of Seattle Housing Resources Group (SHRG), as it was initially known in 1980, was incorporated by the Downtown Seattle Association, to "…serve as a catalyst in making Seattle more livable for all her residents by creating and managing affordable housing in and around Downtown." This partnership with the business community made Housing Resources Group, as we are now known, unique within the non-profit housing community. This partnership combines leadership, vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to results. HRG has served Seattle well during the last 27 years by helping to foster a thriving community where people live, work and play in a safe and affordable community. Organization Housing Resources Group is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, made up of leaders of the downtown business community with experience in real estate development, management and finance. Some directors, committed to HRG’s mission, have served in this capacity since our inception. The staff of 82 operates under a Leadership Team structure with expertise in development, construction, finance, property management and non-profit administration. The 6-person Leadership Team, with over 100 years of combined private sector and non-profit experience, is efficient, productive and results oriented. Over Two Decades of Success
