HRG takes your privacy seriously. We do collect certain types of information and want you to understand the terms and conditions surrounding the collection and use. This policy applies to the website you were viewing when you clicked through to this policy.

What personally identifiable information does HRG collect from website users?

The short answer is, "none that you don't offer". If you make an email request for information from us, your email address and name or nickname that you may have associated with that address are included in the email header that allows the message to be routed over the internet. Our use of your email address is limited to providing you with requested information. We do not save your email address when our communication is done, nor do we give your email address to any person or organization.

What about the "Find an Apartment" function? Are you collecting my personal and financial information?

The "Find an Apartment" function runs from your local computer for your assistance in knowing if you may possibly qualify for our income-restricted housing. It helps us to keep from wasting your time or ours, and it is totally private. We do not monitor or keep any information you enter unless you choose to save your search by using the "Save Search" feature. If you select the option to "Save Search", then an encrypted cookie is saved on your computer that will "remember" your login information. Income and family information entered into your "Find and Apartment" search is stored in a secured database for you to retrieve but is not viewed, used, or shared by HRG. To use this information from the same computer again, you only have to click on "My HRG" and the information will be retrieved.

Do you collect other types of anonymous information from website users?

Your internet browser has a feature called "cookies" which store small amounts of data on your computer about sites you visit, including ours. However, cookies tell us nothing about who you are, and you do not have to have cookies turned on to visit our site. You may elect to allow or to disallow cookies by selecting certain options on your browser, however if you disallow cookies you will have to remember your user name and password to retrieve income and family information you have previously saved.

Additionally, the servers that host our website automatically receive and record information including your IP (internet digital) address, the time, and information about the pages you request to view. We receive information about referrals from other sites, understand how our users access the internet, and know if a user has visited our site before. We use that information to find out what features our website users find most useful and to enhance the user experience at our site. This automatically-collected, anonymous information is not shared with any other entity.

If for any reason we need to change our Privacy Policy regarding the use of our website, it will be reflected first within this website.
