HRG - Development History |
||||||
|
As a leading non-profit developer of low-income housing in Seattle,
Housing Resources Group has been very productive. HRG renovates or
constructs multi-family housing which offers a balanced range of
apartment types from studios to large family townhouses. History of Development and Management Experience Housing Resources Group’s goal is to provide a variety of affordable housing options for people with various needs: for those with jobs earning between $10 and $20 per hour, for people in need of service enriched housing, and many others unable to pay market rents. Because most of HRG’s buildings are located in or near downtown Seattle, residents generally do not own cars, using public transportation instead and helping to reduce the burden on the roadways. HRG assembles complicated and creative financial packages to produce
quality housing and keep rents affordable for the long-term. In fact,
HRG commits to its public and private investment partners that these
properties will remain affordable for at least 40 years and often
longer. Financing requires the combination of several of the following:
tax-exempt bonds, federal low-income housing tax credits, state housing
trust funds, the city of Seattle’s housing levy, transfer of development
rights, and housing bonus programs as well as bargain sales, land leases
and leases. |
